dot-art X OEG Analogue Photography Competition 2022

Win 3 months of dot-art Darkroom & Artist Membership and a weeklong showcase on Open Eye Gallery’s Digital Window Gallery!

dot-art has teamed up with Open Eye Gallery to create an Analogue Photography Competition for both amateur and professional photographers based in the North West. The winner will receive 3 months of dot-art Darkroom & Artist Membership, a 1 hour one-to-one informal feedback and crit session with Open Eye’s Programme Assistant as well as a 1-week exhibition on Open Eye Gallery’s Digital Window Gallery.

  • Submit your details and up to 5 images of your analogue photography work via this jotform by Midnight on Friday 18th April.
  • The winner will be notified the week commencing 25th April.

The Winner will receive:

  • FREE 3 month dot-art Darkroom Membership (worth £75!)
  • FREE 3 month dot-art Level 2 Artist Membership (worth nearly £60!)
  • A 1-week Open Eye Gallery digital exhibition
  • A one –to-one, 1 hour informal crit session with Declan Connolly, Programme Assistant at Open Eye Gallery

Terms & Conditions

*The selected winner must purchase a £45 induction session if they are not experienced in Darkroom techniques and equipment already.

* The Competition is open to all amateur and professional photographers based in the North West.

*The Winner will be selected by Lucy Byrne, Managing Director of dot-art, Sarah Fisher, Director of Open Eye Gallery, Declan Connolly, Programme Assistant at Open Eye and Claire Henderson, Gallery Manager of dot-art.

*Late Submissions will not be accepted past the deadline.

*Submissions must be analogue and film photography only, Digital photographs will NOT be accepted.

*Entries can submit a maximum of 5 images.

*Only 1 Entry per Photographer.

*The Winner can claim Membership prizes in May 2022.

*The Winner will be programmed in the Open Eye Digital Window display during 13th – 17th July.

*The one-to-one 1-hour session will be scheduled at a date and time that suits both the Programme Assistant and the competition winner.

dot-art operates an open access darkroom in Liverpool city centre. The dot-art Darkroom contains all of the standard components required to take black and white camera film and transform it into beautiful negatives and black and white photographs.

Whether you’re a complete beginner who has never seen the inside of a darkroom, or a more advanced artist needing an extra bit of guidance, the dot-art darkroom has everything you need to create fantastic photographs.
