Hazel Thomson
Hazel Thomson – “I have travelled to various parts of the world, and met all sorts of people in the arts, and sciences and people who are very spiritual. I am always learning in life and observing the obvious and not so obvious. I am always looking to conceive, cultivate and embrace new concepts and ideas in my art work. I go on walkabout around the country, observing places in all seasons and different times of the day. People have described my style of painting as classical and natural with a hint of contemporary and a new depth of atmosphere. I have sold many paintings in the UK and overseas.”
Since she started painting in 2012, Hazel has received many awards from the offset, more recently achieving 2nd place in the People’s choice award at Stockport Open Art Exhibition as well as 2nd place in the Billy Wilson People’s Choice Award at Liverpool Art Fair.
In 2017 Hazel was top 5 in the American Art Awards for the for the category “World’s Best Artists of Landscape Impressionism” and top 5 for the for the category “World’s Best Artists of Realism Landscape”.
