Description
Worn blue shutters, cut with tiny hearts, flank a forgotten window. Below, pink flowers spill gently over the sill, a soft reminder that love can dwell even in crumbling places.
Joao Coelho
I’m Joao Coelho, a Portuguese artist living in St. Helens. I create detailed dioramas inspired by the history and architecture around me, capturing forgotten places in miniature form.
I’m drawn to old buildings and small details like rusted doors and faded signs, which tell stories of the past.
Through my art, I aim to evoke nostalgia and connection, preserving the soul of overlooked urban scenes.
Though I have no formal training, creating dioramas has been a lifelong passion.
Now, I’m eager to share my work and connect with others who appreciate the hidden beauty of our surroundings.
