Description
Richard Farrell
I am a self-taught artist who finds inspiration in the popular culture and architectural heritage of Liverpool.
It was once said that, ‘we shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us’ and I am strongly drawn to buildings due my background of as a 30 years as a surveyor. I’m mainly drawn to parts of the City Centre which which I’ve had an association in the past or which inspire me. My art attempts to pass on that appreciation to the viewer using light and composition. I am interested in places of personal association, going back years later and revisiting them through my painting.
