Clatterbridge Commissions

In 2025, dot-art and artist member Olga Snell, renowned for her quirky digital collages, were commissioned to create vinyl artwork for the specialist Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) Unit at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

The unit provides outpatient, day case, and inpatient care specifically tailored to the needs of young people with cancer.

Working directly with young patients and staff, Snell created a nature and Liverpool themed design responding their ideas and feedback.

The completed vinyl artwork, installed in summer 2025, creates a colourful and welcoming space, transforming the TYA unit into an environment that reflects the preferences and needs of the young people receiving treatment there, separate from the rest of the ward.

This followed on from the commissioning of dot-art Artists Frank Leung, Hilary Dron and Lorna Morris, who worked with staff and patient groups across 2024 and 2025 to each produce a series of calming, meditative and inspirational paintings for corridors within the centre, offering adult patients a more welcoming and friendly environment.
