Vivienne Netherwood
Born in Liverpool, Vivienne now lives in Wirral and is a self educated artist.
Following an initial period as a textile artist, Vivienne has developed a strong interest in print making techniques. In particular, lino prints depicting the local urban and rural landscapes of Wirral which are hand coloured with watercolour.
“My landscapes always start with drawing to help me understand the rhythm of light and perspective that I translate into mark making. I love the strong contrasts of lino printing in combination with a muted watercolour wash.”
Vivienne is a regular participant in the Wirral Open Studio Tour and loves to explore print making techniques with Liverpool Independent Art School.
