From a young age, I possessed an intense fascination with the nuances of human presence. I was captivated by the subtle language of features: the cadence of a voice, the carriage of a body, the telling flicker of mannerisms, the fleeting stories etched on faces.

Grounded in a rigorous study of drawing and portraiture, my artistic practice has evolved to embrace the dynamic possibilities of colour and mixed media on canvas. While technical precision remains a cornerstone of my work, the focus has shifted towards exploring human identity through carefully selected cinematic imagery.

Consequently, I don’t consider my current works simply as portraits. Instead, I see them as “acts” – frozen moments saturated with a palpable sense of presence. My figures appear poised to communicate, to utter a phrase, to reveal an unfolding narrative. They are not mere representations but rather protagonists, characters embodying impressions of the individuals who inspire them.
