Liverpool based artist Suzanne Grace says about her practice:
“I am a freelance Visual Artist based in Liverpool who loves to engage with the natural world and create inspired art. I am passionate about the art world, photography, nature and conservation and I am looking to bring people and nature closer together through the medium of art.
With my own individual style and personal approach, I can create artworks that suit a home or business environment. My artworks mostly focus on nature within our environment and personal interactions which reflect people’s individual experiences. Some of my works are pure colour experiences that evoke powerful interactions of the senses. Current themes I am exploring at present to inform future artworks include the extinction and conservation crisis, rewilding, art as therapy and levels of equality and diversity within the local environment.
I work in mixed media including traditional oils and acrylics and some have included natural materials (botanical matter) and cold wax. My processes are constantly evolving through experimentation and some artworks have been created and developed from accidental mark making.
From a working-class background and initially a poor academic start,
I have studied and achieved in Fine Art and Conservation to masters’ level.
I have been fortunate enough to experience much travelling throughout my life and have created some inspired works whilst travelling. I now reside and work back in Liverpool and I am immensely proud of my hometown’s cultural heritage and enjoy the vibrant lifestyle it offers visitors and residents alike.”
