Chloe Lloyd is a Photojournalist and Portrait Photographer based in Liverpool.
Chloe says about her practice ‘After graduating, from Staffordshire University in 2019, with a First Class Degree in Photojournalism, I decided to keep shooting, keep pursuing what I love and build a career in photography. After deciding to take my passion to a further level and study it for my degree, I began experimenting in multiple disciplines. Using, film and digital mediums, I started photographing everything from still life product photography, to events, nightlife, architecture, and finally landing on portraiture. To be frank, if I’m photographing people I love it!
After my studies I found work taking photographs of the Shakespeare Festival, photographing different performances across the UK, as well as shooting portraits for multiple Liverpool based artists, and in late 2019, began shooting live music. As 2020 began and the pandemic hit, It became obvious that it was unsafe to take portraits, and impossible to shoot live music. With this I began to lean more into my photojournalism side, capturing the weird, wonderful, and not so wonderful story of 2020, from the BLM Protests to the mass testing.’
