Anthony Dunbar

Cheshire based artist and musician Anthony Dunbar says about his work:

‘‘My artwork allows me to shout and remain quiet at the same time.

The shout blasts political, social, economic and radical slogans on to the canvas, whilst the quiet thoughts and feelings are hidden, partially seen and hard to distinguish.

Throughout the process of painting the shouts and silences blur between splashes of colour, changes occur and the meaning of the work becomes harder to discern.

Each painting provokes thought, wonder and intrigue, what does it mean? Only you can decide.”
