Lorraine Harrison gained her B.Des honours degree at Liverpool in 1995. This particular design study was craft-based and multi-disciplinary so provided the opportunity to explore various materials and techniques. Apart from drawing and painting to design, she used print-making, textiles, metal, wood, plastic and ceramics. The course requirement was to select two specialist areas and Lorraine chose textiles and wood. However, her work has continued to include many of the other techniques with the inclusion of digitally enhanced imagery, glass and mixed media.
